Craving for ... Authentic Chinese Food!

Have been a food maniac since I know how to appreciate food. I told him, we live to eat!! And of course, that is one of the principle that I uphold in my life :)

Been to Dragon-I in Bandar Utama for few times but this is the first time I write a review about their food because I have been craving for the soup dumpling for MONTHS!! Because of the "Recycle is a Need and a Deed" recycling campaign and my organizational communication thesis, I just don't have the time to satisfy my palate and my desire on the wonderful authentic Chinese food there.

This review serves to satisfy my current desire :( By looking at these pictures, I could somehow "taste" my favourite - soup dumpling.

Soup dumplinrg ... One of the most sellable items in the menu. RM 9 for a basket of four dumplings. Dip some vinegar and ginger before popping it into your mouth and let the warm chicken broth to linger with your tongue... Mmmmm (Eat the dumpling while it is still hot, they taste much better!!)

SzeChuan style Sour Ramen ... very nice presentation. Thick sour gravy with soft tauhu slices, pickles and prawns. Very strong taste of vinegar. I love noodles and find their ramen kinda interesting, though really have to pull and chew a lot!!

Ramen with stir fried chicken dices and fresh cucumber ... so-so, not quite the way I thought it is supposed to be. Esquire Kitchen has the same style of noodles which tastes much better...

Dessert ... Mango with pamelo on shaved ice. One of the best dessert that I have ever tasted :)

Basically Dragon-I serves a lot of authentic Chinese dishes, one of the best that I have tasted is the hot and spicy fried chicken (RM 18 if not mistaken, apologize as photo is not available), goes perfectly well with rounds and rounds of beers!

If you like food and reading some histories, Chinese food will be one of the best topic to be discussed. In China, almost each province will have certain "interesting" and attempting food. I think Chinese food will be one of the best metaphor in descrbing women - unique like Shanghainese food, normal but most satisfying like Hangzhou food or as hot and sexy like Chongching spicy steamboat... who knows... there is always a linkage between great food and sexuality... ha... not agree with that? Well at least I think so :)
